On Tuesdays (and Pretty Much Every Other Day...) I Wear Purple?

Hello again! Thanks for reading, I'm not sure if I tell you guys often enough how grateful I am that you pay attention to my little corner of the internet. I have been stocking up some goodies for the giveaway I'm planning at 50 followers, so keep your peepers open for those. I can tell you it includes glitter, nail sprinkles, and holo!

Anyway, on to a color I've decided I'm not crazy about: OPI Grape... Set... Match! First of all, the name is kind of annoying. Two ellipses in one title? Ew. But furthermore, this was a polish released during spring/summer, but is clearly (to me) a fall/winter color. Grape blah blah blah is a royal purple base with blue and purple micro-glitter (does not translate onto nail). I haven't seen it on too many blogs, either, so I'm guessing these Serena polishes by OPI aren't getting too popular.

For some reason, this polish tweaked my camera out and no matter what I did, my pictures came out funny. I guess my camera disliked this color as well.

Application was good, color was decent, but I was disappointed that the glitter didn't show up and that it was so dark for a summer color. I ended up wearing it for one day but I wasn't really a fan and took it off. To boot, the topcoat it came with (Servin Up Sparkle) is a dupe for every Maybelline glitter topcoat I own, and wasn't very unique either.

Sorry, OPI, I always seem to be complaining but read my lips (blog?): I want uniqueness. I want glitters like Mad as a Hatter that start trends. While I am very excited for the upcoming Muppets collection, I wish I didn't have to wait until the once-a-year hit collection!

What do you ladies think? I am overly critical? By the way, hope you aren't too attached to my long nails in this picture because a recent series of breaks required me to chop them all down :(

xoxo,
Amanda

I feel this way about Orly Galaxy Girl. I WANT to like it. Its such a big bottle! But I don't. I keep pulling it out and looking at it but when I put it on it just looks like a bad franken. I think its destined for Swapsville.
